WASHINGTON WIZARDS TO “DONATE” BASKETS TO JUSTIN’S QUEST

Local 14-year-old to Include Total Number of Wizards’ Baskets This Season in Quest for 63,000

WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Wizards will proudly partner with 14-year-old Justin Friedlander this season, as the team will “donate” all baskets made this season to Justin’s Quest as Justin continues his fight to raise awareness to help find a cure for brain tumors. Friedlander, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in March, 2009, launched Justin’s Quest to shoot 63,000 baskets, one for every person diagnosed with a primary brain tumor each year in the United States. Friedlander made several baskets during a time-out at a Wizards game on April 14th, 2010, and is now seeking others to join him in the quest for 63,000. Washington’s 363 combined field goals and free throws made in preseason play have been “donated” to Justin’s Quest, as will every Wizards’ basket to come from tonight’s season opener in Orlando through the NBA All-Star break in mid-February. Learn more about Justin’s Quest at www.justinsquest.com.
