The Big Break

Today was truly amazing for Justin. Justin was invited to shoot hoops with the University of Maryland men's soccer team at the Comcast Center. Coach Sasho Cirovski invited Justin and our family to meet some of his players and shoot hoops. Justin and his brothers' Jacob and Joey played knockout and a full court game. It was awesome. Sasho even presented Justin with an autographed ball from the whole team and an authentic MD soccer jersey. What made this day even more special was the TV news coverage we received from Fox 5 news and from WJLA. Go to http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/sports/justins-quest-shoot-hoops-for-cure-brain-tumor-032310 and to http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0310/718807_video.html?ref=newsstory to watch the news coverage of the event. Justin was so excited that he got to meet all the wonderful people today and see himself on TV. He really feels like he is making a difference by raising awareness and trying to find a cure for brain tumors. We want to thank ZiZ, the Associate AD Of Maryland and Sasho for making this wonderful day happen. Justin cannot fall asleep tonight as he is so excited from today. Overall 110 shots were made that day.

Justin and family-You are truly an amazing family and your spirit of helping others even in the face of adversity is a testimony to each of you. God Bless you Justin and also your brothers who support you and your Mother and Father who are teaching you how to be kind and caring, and serve others. I will be posting your link on my companies facebook and twitter pages to try and get you some support and I am going to show my son this tomorrow and try to shoot some hoops for you! I will pray for you and your family.

Hey Justin,

I saw you on the Fox this morning, and thought I'd contact you because I went through a similar situation 6 years ago. I had a brain tumor, that I can't spell- craniopharyngeoma, wrapped around my pituitary gland and touching my optic nerve. I included a pic from after my surgery, no not gross however there is swelling, http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=2585341&id=1029407799.

It was hard to accept, but it looks like you and your family are handling it well. I woundered why me, but I think before long I knew that I'd rather it be me than my brother or sister or friends.

I hope to be able to help you out in the near future. I'm open to questions if ya have any.

Justin, we saw you on tv last night and feel very blessed to know you. You are very lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful family and good friends. As a father of two boys, we constantly bring you up to our elder son at what a good role model should look like. I hope to see you on the soccer pitch soon.
